The Warfield is a critical anchor building on a prominent corner along the burgeoning mid-Market commercial corridor. Its tenant roster bears testament to the area’s commitment to both technology and cultural arts.
Since acquiring the iconic Warfield Building in early 2012, Group I has been restoring the neglected building’s original grandeur while introducing the modern, open work-space design elements desired by contemporary tech users.
Group I restored the building’s original ground floor window height with a custom storefront glazing system, to maximize retail exposure and visibility to the public. Through the combination of industrial and historical elements – like exposed concrete, brick and finished metalwork – an aesthetic dynamism is achieved which reflects the cross-pollination and collaborative environment of the entrepreneurial companies who have made the Warfield Building their home.
From start-ups to venture capitalists, the Warfield and its tenants have proven to be a definitive element in the revitalization of the mid-Market area, serving as a positive emblem for things to come.
