Kevin Short

Kevin joined Group I in 2012, where he is responsible for the design and construction management of the firm’s projects.

Previously, he worked for a small design practice in San Francisco and a large international architecture office in Atlanta. He graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech with a degree in Architecture and spent his senior year studying at a university in Paris.

A Georgia native, Kevin grew up in London where he attended international school and developed a love for travel. His creative passions extend to visual arts, especially acrylic painting, digital works, and photography. After work, he loves to surf in the cold waters surrounding San Francisco.

Kevin finds gratification in the localness of Group I’s projects as well the interdisciplinary quality of the team’s work. Because Group I is small and streamlined – thus extremely collaborative – it promotes efficiency and creativity in equal parts.

Development Rooted in Design

“At Group I we are all designers. A new project becomes interesting to us because of its unique design potential. We also manage the construction of our projects, so we are fully committed to the outcome. Our work is local, these are our neighborhoods... so we take pride in what we create.”
