Joy Ou

As President and CEO of Group i, Joy Ou directs the company’s growth and vision, overseeing all aspects of the real estate activities. Joy’s extensive and versatile design background imbues every project with a unique combination of design-oriented solutions and idiosyncratic style.  With a diverse portfolio of high-performing projects, Joy has developed a dedicated following among design enthusiasts, financing institutions and investors alike.

Joy is extensively involved in philanthropy and volunteer activities, both locally and abroad, serving on the board of directors of Global Heritage Fund, Museum of Craft and Design, the non-profit Wildflowers Institute and in an advisory capacity for the Luggage Store Gallery.  She also actively supports San Francisco’s Chinatown Community Development Center and several Tenderloin youth organizations.  In Addition, Joy serves as Executive Director of Ou Jong Fa Foundation in Taiwan and is a past Board of Trustee for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and San Francisco Art Institute.

Joy holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Art Center in Pasadena, California.  She also drives an electric car and lives in a house powered by solar energy.
